Cast Your Anxieties, Fears, Concerns, Worries upon God.

First, write down all your worries and concerns! Then, entrust them to God. This is a path to inner strength and peace.  [Put your name in the blanks below.]

I, the Lord, am near, _____.  Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to me.  And my peace, ____, that transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.  [Phil 4:5-7]    (CwG)

Humble yourself, _____, under my mighty hand and I will lift you up.  Cast your anxieties on me, your God, because I care for you, _____.  [1 Pe 5:7]   (CwG)

A furious storm came up suddenly on the lake, and waves swept over the boat.  The disciples woke Jesus saying, "Lord, save us!  We are going to drown!"  Jesus replied, "You of little faith, why are you, my beloved disciples, so afraid?"  Are you, _____, not my disciple? Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.  [IB Mt 8:23-26]   (CwJ)

Do not worry about your life, _____, or what you will eat, drink, or wear.  Can you by worrying add a single hour to your life?  O you of little faith.  Do not worry.  Your heavenly Father knows your needs.  Instead, _____, set your mind on God’s kingdom and what is right in God’s eyes. Then, all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, _____, do not worry about tomorrow.  Each day has challenges enough and I will help you through them.  [IB Mt 6:24-34]   (CwJ)

Set your troubled heart at rest, _____.  Trust in God always. Likewise, trust always in me.  When I say I am going to heaven to prepare a place for you, believe me.  For indeed, I, your living Lord, shall come again and take you, _____, to myself. For I want my disciples to be where I am.  [IB Jn 14:1-3]   (CwJ)

When Elisha’s servant saw that an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city, he cried out.  "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" Elisha said, “Don't be afraid."  "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."  And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open _____ eyes so _____ may see."  The LORD opened _____ eyes, and _____ saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  [2 Ki 6:15-17]    (CwG)

Having Heard God and Conversed with God by Faith, Petition God with this General Prayer

Here, O Abba, are all my concerns.  I entrust them to you as you have commanded.  I rejoice that you created me a physical person who is responsible only to respond to you in the present moment.  Therefore, focus my whole heart, mind, soul, and strength on building your kingdom and doing what is right in your eyes in this present moment.

When re-centered in God’s word, thank God by telling God how much you appreciate being taught wisdom from his very mouth.

One lives by every word that comes from the

mouth of God and not by bread alone.

           [Dt 8:3; Mt 4:4].

God is coaching eternal-life skills and restoring your strength to fight in the ever present now to build up God’s kingdom on earth as it is heaven.  The fruit of the Spirit will blossom in you, bear fruit, and glorify God.
